Born and bred in the North East of England, I am a voice coach and drama facilitator with a passion for innovative and inclusive theatre. I have always had a love for communication and speech, and after spending time in Newcastle, Yorkshire, Birmingham, and Cambridge, I can safely say I have experienced voices from all over the UK!

Whilst studying for a BA(Hons) in Linguistics at the University of York, I discovered a love for all the ways we as humans communicate. Whether speaking in different languages and accents, or using more subtle changes in body language and tone, humans can have almost limitless options when it comes to communication.

By studying for a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Professional Voice Practice at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, I was able to combine my two passions - language and theatre. I have spent the last few years gaining experience in all things voice-related - from actor training at some of the UK's top drama schools, to 1-2-1 coaching with business professionals.

To find out more about my approach, or how best I can help you, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to provide more information!

My Philosophy

What are my principles as a voice coach?

Every voice is important!

No matter what accent, qualities, or experiences you arrive with, every voice is full of potential. My aim is to help you build a vocal tool box, with as many options for you to use confidently as possible.

Every question is important!

The world of voice work is a weird and wonderful place, and requires the courage to step outside of your comfort zone once in a while. Curiosity and questions are treated with respect, because they are the key to finding new discoveries.

Every individual is important!

Inclusivity is a core value of my teaching practices. I believe that holding inclusivity at the centre of all sessions is crucial to having an enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone involved. I am continuously striving to improve my own practices, and always welcome feedback. Please do let me know how I can best meet your needs as an individual.
